8th open mic in 2018!

Had a blast trying out loads of new material at Martuni's Sunday open mic: a James Bond theme song, Eric Carmen (well, I tired it for about 2 minutes and need to work on it), a Neil Diamond/Barbra Streisand duet with Jared from Fresno, some classic Cyndi Lauper and, of course, The Wizard and I from Wicked!  It was great to see the regulars there: Jason, Jesse, Shane and Melissa and meet fabulous new singers like Gwen, Jared and the guys from Brazil!  They were fabulous!  It's always fun trying out new songs and singing your favorites with a fantastic pianist!  You, too, can do it seven nights a week!  It's SF's best piano bar!  Come check it out and try a song or three!

7th open mic of 2018!

I was back at an open mic the day after my Feinstein's show so that I could try out some new songs that I may perform at my next show this May.  I started out doing some Evita, Gordon Lightfoot and Madonna with Ben on piano until someone requested a song from Wicked!  Who am I to deny a fan?  :-)  I hing around and sang a few standards after JoeMag took over the keys for the 9 pm open mic.  I had fun like I always do when I sing.

Fabulous Feinstein's Debut Show on 2/22!

More coming soon but suffice it to say that I am feeling blessed and grateful beyond belief for such a fabulous first show at Feinstein's!  81 happy people bought tickets!  Ben Prince and I had so much fun!  It was a sheer joy performing my "Follow Your Heart" show!  The Feinstein's staff is the best!  Attendees raved about the food, service and loved the show, too!  All in all, a wonderful, heartfelt evening of fun, love, music and community!  Pics and videos coming soon!

4th, 5th and 6th open mics were fabulous!

Been busy promoting my Feinstein's debut show on 2/22 and have been singing up a storm at open mics on 1/26, 2/9 and 2/16.  Looking forward to 2/22!  Hope to see you!

Third open mic in January!

It was so nice to see so many regulars and meet so many new people tonight!  Austin, Mike, Chuck, Courtney, Richard, Jesse, Russ and Verne are my boys!  We all had a lot of fun singing torch songs!  Talk about a fun time for Ben!  I tried out some new material that I'll sing at my 2/22 Feinstein's debut!  I hope to see you there!  The ticket link is on the homepage!  It will be a great show! Once again, I stayed and sang a song soon after the 9 pm open mic with Joseph Magdalana started.  I do love being green and sang my favorite song by a frog we all know and love :-)

Second open mic in January!

I love the Friday cocktail open mic with Ben Prince! So many of my friends are there and so many folks drop by and you just never know what you'll get.  I tried some new songs for fun and ended with a lot of favorites.  I even stayed for a bit for the 9 pm open mic and sang a classic Carole King song with the awesome Joseph Magdalena!

First Open Mic of 2018!

Happy 2018!  Back at it!  I had a great time seeing and hearing regulars at the Friday cocktail hour open mic at Martuni's.  The fabulous Eryn Allen was sitting in that night and I had a blast singing songs from Wicked, Celine and an oldie from the 70's - Meadowlark!  No matter how I try to retire that song, it still brings the house down so you'll probably hear me sing it at a show or open mic.

Friday Cocktail Hour Open Mic with Ben Prince

It was great to see so many familiar faces at the regular cocktail hour open mic that Ben Prince has played for more than a decade!  I sang a bunch of standards and pop and had a great time mingling with friends and meeting new people.

Snuck in to sing a song on a Tuesday night!

I attend my friend Kirten's Doyle's fabulous Edith Piaf tribute test-run performance at Martuni's and then stayed to sing a quick song (from Wicked) with the fabulous Alan Choy on the keys!

LIVE VIDEOS: Grateful for another sold-out show at Martuni's yesterday!

I am so thankful that so many people chose to attend my December 9th concert at Martuni's!  It was an energetic 80 minute set with songs and stories and lots of laughs and jokes and a very full, sold-out house!  Nick Perez tore it up on the piano!  He is a truly gifted pianist and I had a great time working with him.  I am blessed to be able to do what I love and am going to keep at it!  You can watch some videos of a few songs recorded on smart phones by audience members during the show.  Scroll down for the links below.  And, here are some pictures before, during and after the show.
