Sunday Open Mic with Eryn Allen at Martuni's was great as always!

Another great open mic with the fabulous Eryn Allen on the 88's at Martuni's!  Sunday's are so much fun!  It was great to see and hear Jason, Jennifer and so many others as well as meeting new folks with great voices like Helena!  If you haven't gone to Martuni's on a Sunday, check it out.  I had fun singing a country classic by Olivia Newton-John from the late 70's along with several of my favorite Stephen Schwartz songs from three of his musicals: Wicked, Pippin and The Baker's Wife.  He's my favorite composer!  I'm looking forward to seeing his new musical this fall - Prince of Egypt!

NEW live music video shot at 25th Street Recording in Oakland!

I'm excited to share our live music video of "The Wizard and I" from Wicked! Christopher Hewitt and I recorded it as part of 25th Street Recording's 2nd Live Music Video Shoot Day which provides up-and-coming musicians with the opportunity to record a professional acoustic music video in a recording studio. If you know me, you know this is my favorite song and this video captures it beautifully and with the energy of a live performance. I hope you enjoy it and consider sharing it with your friends. The equipment was amazing: a 1909 Steinway Grand B piano and a Nuemann U47 vocal microphone!  I hope you enjoy it and share it with your friends.  Thank you for your continued support of live, local independent musicians!

Friday cocktail open mic with Joe Wicht

I love the Friday early cocktail open mic with Joe Wicht! It was great to see and hear Charles, Heikki, Vern and so many others.  I'm practicing my songs from Wicked along with some other pop songs by Celina and Olivia for fun.  Hope to see you at an open mic soon!

Monday at Martuni's with Joe on the 88's!

Monday's are always fun at Martuni's!  Joe Wicht plays the 88's and the regular showtunes crowd wanders in and we all have a blast!  It was great to see and hear Jesse, Vern, Heikki and so many other Monday regulars as well as some very talented new voices!

Great fun as always on Tuesday night with Alan and Dina!  I had fun singing 3 softer songs which are perfect for the Tuesday night crowd.

4 minute Break: Watch me (and the audience) sing Olivia's "Hopelessly Devoted to You"

Happy July friends!

You know you've done this.  So, now, watch me (and the audience) sing Olivia Newton-John's hit "Hopelessly Devoted to You."

I'm excited to share my new single (Hoplessly Devoted to You - Live)!  It's available for purchase on CD Baby,  iTunes and Amazon. Thank you for your support.

An Open Mic for the Record Books with Ben Prince

Some nights are so special that you realize you're part of something bigger than yourself!  Sunday, July 2nd's open mic at Martuni's with Ben Prince was one for the record books!  This was Ben's last one before he takes off for his 4 month gig!  There was so much talent in that room - Russell, Kalil, Jesse, Nikki, Courtney, Cris, Shun, the cast of The Four Immigrants (TheatreWorks Palo Alto), Branden, Paul, Daniel, Sheelagh and so many, many more lovely souls!  I was humbled and blown away by the talent, energy and, most of all, the community spirit!  Music brings us together, it connects us and it is the ultimate universal language.  I had fun singing my final four songs with Ben until he's back in November.

The Wizard and I

Hopelessly Devoted to You (sing along, of course!)
