"An Ordinary Day" details beauty and appreciation in the commonplace, with lyrics that weave a vividly visual tapestry." Tom Kelly's review of Vandana Bali's show at the Plush Room in the San Francisco Bay Times
"Her voice took on colors of Julie Andrews with a touch of Barbra Streisand."--Linda Ayers-Frederick, SF Bay Times

I love this song! The composer, Dennis Livingston, got in touch with me and suggested that I check out his songs. I am so very glad that I did! I fell in love with "An Ordinary Day" after the first listen and incorporated it into my live shows.

This version was recorded live at one of my shows in San Francisco in 2006.

Thanks for listening!

Vandana Bali Bio

Born in India, raised in New York and making her home in San Francisco, Vandana was surrounded by music from early childhood. She sang her very first solo in the mid 70's at her grandparent's party during winter vacation in India. She hasn't stopped singing since then.

A classically-trained vocalist with a 3-octave range, Vandana enjoys singing powerhouse songs just as much as she loves singing sultry, soothing standards. Her primary influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Patti LuPone, Sam Harris, Olivia Newton-John, Whitney Houston, Michael Crawford and Barbra Streisand.

Vandana welcomes every opportunity to perform for live audiences. She has performed at festivals throughout Europe, performed the national anthem at a Knick's game at Madison Square Garden, at weddings throughout the world and at clubs in San Francisco, including the historic Empire Plush Room, and at clubs in New York City.
